FAQ’s

Please get in touch if there’s any question I haven’t covered below!

What areas do you cover?

I cover through out South Lakes and surrounding post codes covering LA8, LA

Lancaster, Millom

Any other please contact before booking

What hours do you work?

I work through the week and weekends.  This works well as I am often available when salons/clinics are closed and when working people are free for a massage

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 12 hours before the appointment time with no fees.  Anything cancelled on the day will be charged at the full cost of the treatment.  If you are feeling ill I would rather you cancelled particularly at the moment with Covid.

How much do you charge?

45 mins £40, 60 mins £50, this is purely massage time.  I don’t take the consultation or set-up time out of your appointment time.  All my prices are found on my website.

What do you need me to supply?

I don’t need you to supply anything other than somewhere to wash my hands, soap and hand towel,  I provide everything else.

How much space do I need?

My couch is 6’6” with a face cradle (2” wide) and the couch is 30” wide  I will also need to be able to walk all the way around the couch so I need a space approximately 9’4”.  Most living rooms are big enough as long as you don’t have a coffee table in the middle.  If you don’t have space for a massage couch then maybe a seated chair massage would be better for you, they can be as beneficial but don’t require as much space.

Do I need my own massage table?

No.  I use a high quality massage table, heated blanket and sheets are also supplied

Do I need my own towel?

No Towels are provided

Can I have a massage if I have cancer or I am in treatment for cancer?

Yes  I am completely trained and insured to handle clients diagnosed with cancer, however it would be a good idea to check with your doctor before hand

How do you like to be paid?

You can pay by Bank transfer, I usually ask for a £20 dep per treatment and the balance due on the day of treatment.  I also have a card reader which takes all major credit and debit cards.  If you prefer to pay by cash that’s fine too.

How long will the appointment last?

It takes me 10-15 mins to set up, another 10-15 mins to pack up and there will probably be some discussion as to what treatment you need to benefit you.  So if you book for an hour I will be there at leas 90 mins.  If there is more than one client there is usually additional time for change over, so add another 10 mins.

.

What qualifications do you have?

I have a level 3 in Swedish massage, Advanced No Hands Therapist, Level 3 in Sports Massage, Level 3 in Aromatherapy massage.  I also have qualifications in pregnancy massage and seated chair massage.  I’m currently studying towards my Level 4 Sports Massage Therapy qualification.

What is the difference between Swedish, deep tissue and sports massage?

Swedish is commonly thought of when getting a massage – light pressure, meaning more relaxation and is usually a full body massage.  Deep tissue uses more pressure.  The movements during this treatment are slower, because of this, it is used for specific work with the goal of pain relief.  Sports massage uses medium pressure at a faster pace.  I can incorporate each of the above-mentioned modalities into one session.

Will I be sore after a treatment?

Some clients do experience soreness after their treatments, similar to what you feel after a workout.   This is typical after a deep tissue or fascial stretch session.  The more bodywork you get done on a regular basis the less sore you will feel.

Do you offer packages?

Yes I offer a block of 6 x 60 min massages £270 or a block of 6 x 75 min massages £330
