Deep Tissue Massage is aimed at the deeper tissues of the muscles and fascia. Deep Tissue Massage uses alot of the movements of Swedish Massage but the pressure will be more intense. It is more of a focused type of massage where the therapist will concentrate on muscle tension or knots.
It is very important to drink lots of water after a Deep Tissue Massage; this will help to flush the lactic acid out of the muscles. There is a possibility that you may feel some soreness the following day just make sure you carry on drinking water so the body is able to flush the toxins from the body.
